Terms of Service
Last updated: April 2026
Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using Wordwell (“the Service”), operated by Wordwell LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
Description of Service
Wordwell is a sermon intelligence platform that processes sermon audio files to generate transcripts, sermon notes, study guides, devotionals, family conversation starters, and preaching analytics including biblical coverage mapping, theme tracking, and blind spot detection.
Account Registration
To use Wordwell, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
Subscription and Payment
Wordwell offers paid subscription plans as described on our pricing page. By subscribing, you agree to pay the applicable fees for your selected plan. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date.
All fees are quoted in US dollars. Payments are processed securely through Stripe. You are responsible for providing valid payment information and keeping it current.
Free Trial
We may offer a free trial period for new users. At the end of the trial, your account will convert to a paid subscription at the plan you select, or access to paid features will be suspended if no plan is selected. We will notify you before the trial ends.
Cancellation and Refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Upon cancellation, you retain access to paid features through the end of your current billing period. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods.
If you are unsatisfied with the Service within the first 30 days of a paid subscription, contact us at micheal@wordwellapp.com and we will work with you to make it right.
Your Content and Intellectual Property
You retain full ownership of all content you upload to Wordwell, including sermon audio files, and all content generated from your uploads, including transcripts, notes, study guides, devotionals, and analytics data. Wordwell does not claim any ownership rights over your content.
By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process your audio files and generate outputs solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. This license terminates when you delete your content or close your account.
We do not use your sermon content to train AI models, for marketing purposes, or for any purpose other than delivering your requested outputs.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use Wordwell only for its intended purpose of processing sermon and teaching content. You may not use the Service to process content you do not have the right to use, to distribute generated content in a way that misrepresents its origin, or to attempt to reverse engineer, interfere with, or disrupt the Service.
Service Availability
We strive to maintain consistent availability of the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance, updates, and unforeseen technical issues may temporarily affect availability. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of planned downtime in advance.
Accuracy and Limitations
Wordwell uses AI-powered tools for transcription, content generation, and analytics. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing all generated content before distributing it to your congregation. Preaching analytics, including biblical coverage data, theme tracking, and blind spot detection, are based on automated analysis and should be used as informational tools, not as definitive theological assessments.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wordwell LLC and its founders, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, revenue, or reputation, arising from your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Wordwell LLC and its founders, employees, and affiliates from any claims, losses, or damages arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these terms, or your distribution of content generated through the Service.
Modifications to the Service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes that affect your use of the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
Modifications to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms on this page and updating the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of the State of Georgia.
